Biography
Dr. Sakhar Alkhereyf is a researcher in artificial intelligence and natural language processing, with research interests focused on dataset development, evaluation methodologies for large language models, and retrieval-augmented generation techniques. He currently serves as a Technical Expert at HUMAIN, where he works as part of the team behind the Saudi language model ALLAM.
Dr. Alkhereyf brings research, consulting, and academic experience gained through his work with several organizations, including the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and Prince Sultan University. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Columbia University in New York, with a research focus on artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
In his keynote, “From Benchmarks to Real-World Impact: Deploying LLMs in Production,” Dr. Alkhereyf will discuss the transition from benchmark-driven model development to production-ready LLM systems, highlighting the practical challenges of evaluation, deployment, retrieval-augmented generation, and delivering measurable real-world impact.
